Your Gift & Art Lead Others Down Their Path ~ Connect ~ Share

He said, "You are a closet intellect, seeker of the truth." Intellect means many things and the idea that he thought my intellect was in seeking the truth, well when you connect with someone it's a divine assignment.

He gave me a gift last week, not having any idea the timeliness and meaning. See when you treasure art, create art and share yourself and your (H)art, amazing things happen.

He read it once on the back of a book and made a copy. He made a copy of the copy and shared it with me.
It reads:

When a man literally walks in the light of his soul and the clear light of the sun pours through him - revealing the Path - it reveals at the same time the Plan. Simultaneously however he becomes aware of the fact that the Plan is very far as yet from consummation. The dark becomes more truly apparent. The chaos and misery and failure of the world groups stand revealed. The filth and dust of the warring forces are noted, and the whole sorrow of the world bears down upon the astounded, yet illuminated aspirant. Can he stand this pressure? Can he become indeed acquainted with grief and yet rejoice forever in the divine consciousness? Has he the ability to face what the light reveals and still go his way with serenity, sure of the ultimate triumph of good? Will he be overwhelmed by the surface evil and forget the heart of love which beats behind all outer seeming? This situation should ever be remembered by the disciple, or he will be shattered by the disciple, or he will be shattered by what he has discovered..... Alice A. Bailey.

PEACE This is the word that comes to mind now. He explains, "This had certain meaning long ago when I first read this. It has more and different now. I thought you would appreciate this." He will never know the extend of it; that is was the Plan way back (the copy, which now is a copy of a copy). Peace in connectedness and not so much the spoken word.

I am now on a path of discovering Alice A. Baily.   You could join me or you could be on the hunt for that copy you made years ago that belongs to someone you know.

Your Gift is your Art.  Share. Connect.  It leads you down your path of Discovering Your B*a*g.

Follow the Signs.....

I don't know her real name. I know her as Delightfully Tacky. She had a dream. She had a dream to travel the country in a 1973 Winnebago Brave D-20T. "BRAVE". She planned. She saved. She searched. AND she realized her dream which starts a journey all over again. In my heart of hearts I want to be her or go with her on this leg of the trip. Her quest exemplifies the Modern B*a*g Ladies philosophy. She is a Traveling Sanctuary in a Brave Traveling Sanctuary.

I don't know her in person. I know her spirit. AND I love her for following her dream. Today I cheer out loud for her accomplishment.

My message for you today is.... Follow the Signs. They light up as you hover over them. Trust me they will take you places. WHAT'S YOUR BRAVE WINNEBAGO? GET A PICTURE OF IT POST IT ON YOUR BATHROOM MIRROR. GO FOR IT. DO IT FOR YOU. DO IT FOR THE SISTERHOOD.

Follow the link (sign), trust me you will see how passion and following your intuition will manifest into your dreams.

Charisma, Passion, Fruit and Pies ~ Very Interesting

I conducted a mini vision board workshop with a women's networking group a week ago. I shared with them the whats, wheres and why's of vision boards, based on an article I wrote for http://www.survivormanual.com/, entitled, More Scavenger Hunt than Map. You should really click on the article to learn more about this visual aid to creating your hopes, dreams, passions and goals.

I was picking up magazines, scissors and glue sticks, as I approached a gal to ask about her vision board. It oozed of passion. I had observed her in previous meetings. I could tell she loved life. I knew that she made homemade soaps and hand lotions, but that was all I knew. As she discussed the items she had placed on her vision board she says to me, "I find you so interesting." Me? Interesting? Sure, why not.

Here's the truth, everybody is interesting. Here's our obstacles, #1 most don't share themselves and #2 most don't care to listen when somebody cares to share themselves. So, her making the comment about me being interesting was a win-win. I shared my passion, she cared enough to listen and I asked her what she was passionate about. I found her interesting. How couldn't I.

I started to read, Give Your Speech, Change the World, How to Move Your Audience to Action, by Nick Morgan this week. I did something that night, while giving my speech, that was apparently on target according to this book. I think we would all agree that speakers with charisma have the ability to captivate their audience. Well, charisma isn't a gene. It is simply expressiveness, which is being open to your audience and sharing you and your passions. Now imagine yourself as this passion flower below. Look how interesting it looks. It's no wonder they named this flower "passion". It's sharing everything. How can you not be captivated.

PASSION (noun). 1. Great emotion. 2. Determination. 3. The object of passionate love. 4. Suffering

YOU'RE PASSIONATE! At least, I hope you have passion in your lives. If we weren’t, why would we work so hard for our dreams? And DREAMS, I am amazed and overwhelmed by everyone’s stories, struggles, talents, drive and compassion that fuel your dreams. In this virtual community that we belong we are fueling each other’s dreams as well.

Some of our dreams were born from a very immediate financial need. Other dreams were born from the need of self expression, connecting ourselves with our purpose for the world, or a need to solve nagging problems. Mostly our dreams are born out of a combination of all these things.

OBSESSION (noun). 1. Unhealthy fixation. 2. Irrational preoccupation

Can our passions turn into obsessions? It certainly is a possibility especially when we are so passionate about our dreams. To avoid moving from passion to obsession I imagine of my life as one big pie where I mix all my passion fruits (family, business, work, community, husband, brains, heart, suffering). By born inheritance I believe women are much more equipped to mix our fruit and reap the benefits. My 7 year old teaches me something that I can apply to my work. My work teaches me something that I can apply to my personal life. Sharing my whole self in everything I do is me cutting into myself and offering a slice of myself to everyone I encounter. You see my layers.

Just one last thought on PASSION. Suffering is a component of our passion fruit pie and the part that usually holds us back the most. Fear shields us from possible suffering and the non-acceptance that blinds us from the lesson it is here to teach us.

Here's to Charismatic, Mixed Passion Fruit Pie and interesting diner talk.

I am So Damn Passionate about....

I am so damn passionate about writing that I got out of bed at 12:00 am to write this.
I am so damn passionate about my personal mission that I would do it even if I didn't get paid. (oh ya I'm not making any money, yet.)
I am so damn passionate about hearing the click of the keys that I am not copying and pasting "I am so damn passionate" at the beginning of each sentence.
I am so damn passionate about the mission of Enchanted Makeovers and Angela Shelton that I do my best work when it is in the name of their (our) mission.
I am so damn passionate about seeing somebody's eyes light up when they have an Ah Ha moment. A moment of clarity that sets them down a path of discovering their B*a*g.
I am so damn passionate about joining forces with other passionate travelers of life.
I am so damn passionate about truly being myself.
I am so damn passionate about listening to other's stories.
I am so damn passionate about helping others succeed.
I am so damn passionate about dancing.
WHAT ARE YOU SO DAMN PASSIONATE ABOUT? LIFE WITHOUT PASSION IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. You know that saying, "pay yourself first." Pay yourself with passion first and the money will come. I believe in your passion. Do you? One can always start with, "I am so damn passionate about finding my passion."
